We find Life & Passive Trackers!
There is a good chance that you have a hidden GPS tracker in your vehicle. Does your spouse suspect that you are cheating? Do you suspect that an ex-boyfriend/ex-girlfriend is following you? What about business owners? Are you sure one of your competitors hasn’t placed a GPS tracker on one or all of your fleet vehicles to identify your customers and suppliers?
There are three types of GPS tracking: Passive, Live, and Mobile tracking. Passive trackers are “recording trackers” that are attached to a vehicle for a certain period of time and then need to be removed and connected to a computer to play back the route the vehicle has taken since the tracker was installed. This type of tracker does NOT emit radio frequencies, but only records your movement and is often more difficult to find.
It only takes SECONDS for someone to attach a GPS tracker to your car. If you don’t know exactly what to look for, you will likely never find it. GPS trackers can also be placed by anyone who has access to the interior or exterior of your vehicle.
GPS trackers can, for example, be easily hidden under a seat, in a glove compartment, or deep under the dashboard. Some trackers can also be permanently connected to your vehicle’s electrical system, so no batteries need to be recharged.
A GPS tracker can also be easily attached to the underside of your vehicle without you ever noticing! The tracker can be housed in a waterproof magnetic case and attached, for example, to the rear bumper.
Live GPS trackers send a signal every 5-60 seconds, with some even much slower, such as every 2-5 minutes or even once an hour.
Our TSCM technicians use specialized equipment to inspect a vehicle, such as a spectrum analyzer and a video endoscope, and perform a comprehensive physical inspection of your vehicle both inside and out.
Be careful of your phone tracking you!
The phone you carry around with you 24/7 can also be used as a live GPS tracker if the location function is turned on. Hidden tracking software could have been added to your phone without your knowledge. That’s why it’s important to always have a password on your phone and have your phone analyzed.
